BIGFORK — The Bigfork Vikings welcomed a dozen Class A and B teams to their complex Saturday, and ran away with the boys team title at its own Bigfork Invitational.
With Austin Savik sweeping the hurdles races and fellow junior Tamret Savik unleashing a huge triple jump, the Vikings finished with 84 points, to 79 for Whitefish and 55 for Plains. Choteau (54), Ronan (36) and Eureka were 4-5-6.
Whitefish, which Rachael Wilmot sweeping the 100 and 200 dashes, won the girls team title decisively with 116 points. Superior (54), Plains (52), Ronan (49), Eureka (39) and Bigfork (37) rounded out the top six.
