The Titans made their tackle eligible -- and then they made their tackle really eligible.
Tennessee jumped ahead of the Colts early in Nashville Sunday when Marcus Mariota flipped a screen pass to Taylor Lewan, and the 6-foot-7, 309-pound left tackle rumbled around the left side for a 10-yard touchdown. The Titans missed the extra point, so their lead stayed at 6-0.
It was Lewan's first NFL catch, the first pass thrown to him and his first touchdown. Lewan, in his third season, had checked in as an eligible receiver, lining up outside on the left; he engaged a pass rusher, then swung out for the catch and beat everybody to the end zone.
