The Cincinnati Bengals made a splash in the first round of the 2025 NFL draft by taking Texas A&M DE Shemar Stewart at No. 17 overall.
As always, though, reactions to the pick were split. While some Bengals fans were happy to see the team address a major problem area on the rebuilding defense with a high-upside edge who can rush the passer, others were quick to point out Stewart's 4.5 sacks in college.
We're a long, long ways from finding out if Stewart can have an instant impact on the same defense as Trey Hendrickson, but there's little doubt he was the best player on their board.
