Bengals first-round pick William Jackson III suffered a torn a pectoral muscle Monday at training camp, NFL Network first reported Tuesday, citing an unidentified source and calling it a "big blow" for Cincinnati.
The cornerback will seek a second opinion to find out if he will be out for the season.
Pectoral tears normally take 3-4 months to heal on their own. If surgery is required, recovery could take 5-6 months. If Jackson is cleared to play, it appears the earliest he could take the field is November.
However, Cincinnati won't be hurting for corners.
