Ben Simmons won't play for his native Australia in the 2016 Olympics. The 19-year-old has decided to pass on the Rio games to focus on the NBA.
His agent, Rich Paul, informed ESPN of Simmons' decision to not play in the Olympics so he could instead place a priority on NBA activities. Simmons would like to play for Australia in future Olympics, and he had been listed on Australia's extended Olympics roster.
