Not many people were looking forward to the trilogy fight between MMA legends Royce Gracie and Ken Shamrock in the main event of Bellator 149.
Gracie, a pioneer of Brazilian Jiu-Jitsu, won the first fight at UFC 1 in 57 seconds. The rematch at UFC 5 ended in a 36-minute draw. But that was 1996. Gracie and Shamrock wanted to settle the score once and for all and had been wanting to do so forever. While we did see a winner, it didn't come without controversy as the 49-year-old Gracie defeated the 52-year-old Shamrock by first-round TKO thanks to an inadvertent groin strike.
