CANTON, Ohio – As it turns out, Sydney Seau didn’t need to use the platform provided by her father’s greatest football achievement to make a grand statement about the circumstances of his death.
She opted merely to celebrate Junior Seau’s career in the most dignified manner possible.
“First and foremost, he would thank the seven buddies out on stage with him tonight,” Sydney said from the stage after she and her brothers, Tyler, Hunter and Jake, unveiled their father’s bronze bust.
Seau, who spent the heyday of his high-energy career with the San Diego Chargers, left his mark as one of the greatest linebackers ever.
