No consultants, spin doctors or even enabling NFL owners could spruce up Roger Goodell’s reputation like one man — Tom Brady — managed to do with one stunning revelation.
Brady had his cellphone destroyed.
This, of course, made the task of upholding Brady’s four-game suspension so much easier for Goodell, the embattled, punching bag of an NFL commissioner.
Goodell, no doubt, needs to admonish Brady for his apparent role in a scheme to deflate footballs. Integrity of the game is a pillar that the NFL must vigorously uphold.
