Behind the scenes at USA House, where American Olympians in Rio let loose

RIO DE JANEIRO — Corey Cogdell just happened to be making a stop at USA House here on Monday. She’d taken the bronze medal (the second of her career) in trap shooting on Sunday, and was giving herself a bit of a victory lap among fellow Yanks. One of her stops: signing the Team USA Opening Ceremony wall photo on the house’s first floor.

She scribbled her signature on the mural next to her face, and below it wrote, “2 x bronze,” underlined five times. The giant photo, about 10 feet by 18 feet, will be moved to the U.
