With quarterback destinations drying up, Brian Hoyer has signed a one-year deal with the Bears, Chicago general manager Ryan Pace announced Saturday following the NFL Draft.
“We’re fired up about that,” Pace said of signing Hoyer. "When he's played he's been productive."

Hoyer, 30, was let go by the Texans after their AFC wild-card loss to the Kansas Chiefs. In Chicago he will likely be placed behind starter Jay Cutler.
Hoyer had visited with the Broncos and Jets, but Denver drafted Memphis' Paxton Lynch in the first round of the draft on Thursday night and the Jets seem determined to come to an agreement with incumbent quarterback Ryan Fitzpatrick.
