When the Chicago Bears selected 25-year-old Velus Jones in the third round of the 2022 NFL draft, the franchise was criticized for the pick because of his age.
However, Jones is ready to prove the doubters wrong in his rookie season.
"People talk about it, but it don't matter," Jones told NFL Network's Adam Rank recently on The Sick Podcast, per NFL.com's Grant Gordon. "I'm a baller at the end of the day. I know what I can do. Me being 25 years [old] is not going to stop me from running past people to score touchdowns and stuff like that.
