The Chicago Bears have made some big moves this offseason, but the work is far from over, especially as it pertains to rewarding in-house talent including cornerback Kyler Gordon, who's entering a contract year.
Gordon has developed into one of the NFL's best nickel cornerbacks, and he could find even more success under new defensive coordinator Dennis Allen. Last season, Gordon had a career-high 75 tackles, including our tackles for loss, four pass breakups, 0.5 sack, one forced fumble, three fumble recoveries and two QB hits in 15 games.
During his media availability at the NFL Owners Meetings on Tuesday, general manager Ryan Poles reiterated that signing Gordon to an extension remains a priority as the Bears want him for the long haul.
