Three-star cornerback recruit Noah Daniels announced Sunday he was decommitting from Baylor, leaving the Bears will just one commit in the class of 2017.
Daniels announced his decision on Twitter, saying that while he thinks Baylor has a good academic and athletic reputation “I believe it’s best for me to further my career elsewhere.”
Baylor’s public image has suffered greatly in the wake of the school’s sexual assault scandal. Details about the school’s failure to properly handle rape and abuse allegations have continued to come out. School officials revealed last month that 17 women made allegations of sexual or domestic abuse against 19 football players since 2011.
