Three women have filed a federal lawsuit against Baylor University alleging they were sexually assaulted on or near campus while students. One of the assaults alleged in the suit involved a Bears football player.

The plaintiff identified in the lawsuit as "Jane Doe 1" alleges she was assaulted by a player at an apartment complex in Waco, Texas, on April 26, 2014, Waco television station KWTX reported. The suit was filed Wednesday in U.S. District Court in Waco.
According to the lawsuit, Jane Doe 1 reported the assault to a university physician and the Baylor advocacy center.
