Baylor board ponders coach Art Briles' fate, reports say

Baylor's Board of Regents is considering the fate of football coach Art Briles, the Fort Worth Star-Telegram reported Thursday, even as the board reviews an outside law firm's preliminary findings about the school's response to sexual violence allegations — many involving its football players, according to Outside the Lines.

Outside the Lines' string of reports this week on Baylor included documents it obtained that detail heretofore largely unknown allegations of sexual assault, domestic violence and other acts of violence involving several Baylor football players.

Meantime, in regard to documents surrounding the crisis, the Texas Attorney General said Baylor must comply with a new state law that requires private universities in Texas to comply with public information guidelines, an opinion that came after the Waco Tribune-Herald made a request for records related to sexual assault allegations at the school.
