Baseball writer takes dip in Lake Erie after betting against Indians

Paul Hoynes is all wet after jumping into Lake Erie following a lost bet involving the Indians.

The Cleveland.com baseball writer said he'd jump in Lake Erie if the Indians made it to the World Series — citing the losses of Carlos Carrasco and Danny Salazar as hurdles too tough to overcome.

Indians players Jason Kipnis and Trevor Bauer ripped Hoynes on Twitter after he wrote following the team's Sept. 17 game that the "Indians were eliminated from serious postseason advancement before they even got there." A few days later, Hoynes accepted a challenge offered via Twitter to jump in the lake if Cleveland reached the Fall Classic.
