Cleveland Browns quarterback Baker Mayfield will stand for the national anthem after all.
Mayfield — who has been adamant about kneeling during the national anthem all offseason — reversed course after watching Thursday’s game.
The 25-year-old explained his decision to stand in a lengthy letter on Twitter.
Mayfield said he changed his mind for a number of reasons. He mentioned Thursday’s game between the Kansas City Chiefs and Houston Texans. Players from both teams were booed as they linked arms for a moment of unity.
