The Washington NFL team does not want to lose its "Redskins" trademark and made an interesting request to the nation's highest court.
The Redskins have asked the U.S. Supreme Court to hear their appeal of a July ruling that upheld the cancelation of their trademark, but only if the court hears a similar case involving Asian-American rock band "The Slants."

The team filed a petition Monday suggesting that its case should be heard alongside the case involving the Oregon-based band.
