Arsenal’s Ethan Nwaneri became the youngest player to ever appear in a Premier League match on Sunday when he subbed on in the 90th minute of the club’s 3–0 victory over Brentford.
Coming on for Fábio Vieira, Nwaneri made his debut at 15 years, 5 months and 23 days old, smashing the league record previously set by Liverpool's Harvey Elliott (16 years, 30 days). He also became Arsenal’s youngest senior player of all-time, a mark previously held by Cesc Fàbregas (16 years, 5 months and 24 days).
Born in March of 2007, Nwaneri was not alive when Arsenal opened Emirates Stadium in ’06.
