An appeal of the proposed $1 billion concussion settlement between the NFL and former players was filed to the U.S. Supreme Court on Tuesday by the estate of a retired player that objects to the deal.
Additionally, a spokesperson for the co-lead counsel representing the class of retired players told Omnisport on Wednesday, more players who were part of the group that objected were granted an extension through Sept. 19 to file an appeal to the Supreme Court.

This means the settlement is still delayed until those appeals are resolved.
