Appeal hearing: Jerry Sandusky takes stand for first time

Former Penn State assistant coach Jerry Sandusky took the stand Friday in his quest for a new trial and continued to say he's not guilty of molesting young boys.

Via Penn Live, the 72-year-old Sandusky told the appellate court he was denied a fair trial as a result of poor legal counsel.

Sandusky cited being pushed into an ill-advised broadcast interview with Bob Costas in which he came off poorly while trying to portray his innocence. The appeals hearing is scheduled to last for three days.
