Alabama fell all the way down to No. 9 in the latest Associated Press Top 25 poll following its loss to Auburn.
The Crimson Tide, previously No. 5 and still in the mix for a College Football Playoff spot, lost the Iron Bowl in dramatic fashion, 48-45. Alabama’s loss allowed Utah to move into the No. 5 spot with Oklahoma at No. 6.
Utah clinched the Pac-12 South by beating Colorado on Saturday night, putting the Utes at 11-1 heading into the Pac-12 title game against No. 13 Oregon. Oklahoma knocked off rival Oklahoma State and will get another showdown against Baylor — this time with the Big 12 title on the line.
