Anthony Richardson to Have QB Competition amid Injury Struggles, Colts GM Says

Anthony Richardson will not enter 2025 as the unquestioned starting quarterback for the Indianapolis Colts.

Colts general manager Chris Ballard told Nate Atkins of the Indianapolis Star reported that the team "will have competition at the QB position next year" in order to "push Anthony Richardson" as well as "back him up."

Richardson played in 11 games in 2024 for the Colts and was limited to just four in 2023. He was the No. 4 pick in the 2024 NFL Draft.
