Les Miles sits in unfamiliar territory.
LSU lost a season opener for the first time in 12 seasons against Wisconsin at Lambeau Field last week.
Quarterback Brandon Harris struggled. Star running back Leonard Fournette suffered another injury in the fourth quarter. Offensive lineman Josh Boutte was suspended for a blatant cheap shot on Wisconsin’s D'Cota Dixon.
That was ugly. That put Miles back in familiar territory — at least as it pertains to last season. Miles is an unenviable position after Week 1. He’s spinning the focus toward Jacksonville State this week.
“Monday was the day that we kind of finished the game,” Miles said on the SEC teleconference Wednesday.
