Carolina signed Michael Palardy, who was with the Panthers in the preseason, to take Lee's place on the active roster, according to Max Henson of the team's official website.
The Panthers traded a 2018 fourth-round pick to the Cleveland Browns for Lee in late August, and it didn't take long for them to tab the 13-year veteran as their primary punter.
