BOSTON — Triston Casas’ offensive slump to begin the 2025 season has been well documented. He’s 12-for-76 (.158 batting average) with a .229 on-base percentage, .237 slugging percentage, .466 OPS, one homer, three doubles, four RBIs and three runs in 21 games.

The 25-year-old first baseman, who began the year as the cleanup hitter and has been moved down to seventh in the batting order, also has negative-2 defensive runs saved in 174 innings at first base, per Fangraphs.

He’s in the 13th percentile in range/outs above average (-2), per Baseball Savant.
