Former NFL running back Ahman Green has pleaded guilty to charges of child abuse stemming from his arrest in June 2017 after allegedly punching his 15-year-old daughter.
Per TMZ Sports, the 41-year-old agreed to enter an Alford plea, meaning that he did not admit to the crime but acknowledges there is evidence that could lead to a conviction.
Prosecutors recommended that Green avoid jail, and WBAY reported he was sentenced to 18 months probation. He was also ordered to take anger management and parenting classes and produce a written apology to his daughter, and he will only be allowed supervised contact with her.
