Aggressive high five leads to stitches for Blue Jays' Russell Martin

I've conducted many high fives without the involvement of blood, but apparently Blue Jays catcher Russell Martin can't say the same.

Sportsnet's Arden Zwelling reported after the team's win Tuesday night that Martin "split open the pinky finger on his left hand giving a high five after the game." Zwelling added that Martin "got stitched up," which seems insane when you think about it.

Where in the high five process is there an opportunity to cut yourself? It's a simple concept: You put your hand up, aim it at the recipients' hand and smack hard enough where you make a sound, but not so aggressively that you begin to bleed.
