No number holds more meaning in sports.
With 10 NASCAR Hall of Fame drivers donning the No. 3 at some point during their careers, the number was exalted even before Dale Earnhardt began his trek to immortalize it in 1984.

But the stylized white and red No. 3 on a predominantly black Chevrolet will always belong to Earnhardt, who won 67 races and six of his seven Cup championships in the No. 3.
Traditionalists will argue the number should have never returned to NASCAR following the death of Earnhardt on the final lap of the 2001 Daytona 500, while others hope to see the car back in victory lane.
