Adorable puppy will serve as bat-dog for collegiate summer team

The Savannah Bananas will have a bat-dog for the season, and, no, that's not some weird hybrid animal.

The collegiate summer league team rescued an abandoned 7-week-old puppy, named her Daisy and made her a part of the team. Daisy was wandering around the team facility with no tags, collar or microchip, so team president Jared Orton and his family adopted her.

“It was just meant to be that we’d have a team dog as part of our staff,” Orton said.
