British singer Adele revealed Saturday that she was asked by the NFL to perform at halftime of Super Bowl LI but declined the offer.
“Come on. That show is not about music, and I don't dance or anything like that,” Adele said during a concert in Los Angeles, according to CNN. “They were really kind, they did ask me, but I did say no.”
British tabloid The Sun reported last week that Adele had been approached to perform by the NFL. In a statement, the league denied that it had extended any performer an official invitation.
