Adam LaRoche created a controversy when he abruptly retired from the White Sox after team vice president Ken Williams told him he couldn't have his son in the clubhouse anymore.
Williams' decisions and LaRoche's departure infuriated many of his teammates, who supported LaRoche by threatening to boycott a spring training game and by publicly criticizing Williams.

While the issue has created an unnecessary controversy — and threatens to destroy team chemistry and possibly wreck the White Sox season — LaRoche is not the first MLB star to bring his kid to the ballpark on a regular basis.
