The ACC is open to giving student athletes more freedom to transfer.
On Monday, the conference released a statement saying it explored adding a one-time transfer rule for all student athletes at the league's Winter Meetings last week.
"The ACC discussed the transfer environment and unanimously concluded that as a matter of principle we support a one-time transfer opportunity for all student-athletes, regardless of sport," the conference said.
If the ACC adds the one-time transfer rule, it would give athletes in every sport the chance to transfer once without sitting out a year at their new school.
