With a new television network comes the need to fill more broadcast hours, and part of the ACC's solution will be expanding its conference basketball schedule.
The league will move from 18 to 20 conference games beginning in the 2019-20 season, commissioner John Swofford announced Thursday as the ACC Network was officially unveiled at the league's football media days.
While the project is set to launch next month in digital-only form as "ACC Network Extra," expectations and content needs will be higher when the network goes on the air for cable and satellite providers in August 2019.
