Abbey D'Agostino won't be leaving Rio with a medal, but she can say she trouped through the 5,000 meters after twisting her ankle in a painful collision.
The seven-time NCAA champion was behind New Zealand's Nikki Hamblin, who stumbled and fell with more than a mile to go in the second semifinal heat in the event Tuesday.
