While there were some memorable moments in Saturday night's NFC Divisional Round game between the Green Bay Packers and Arizona Cardinals, a wild finish thanks to a Hail Mary and quick overtime ending was somewhat overshadowed by the coin toss that began extra time.
Referee Clete Blakeman canceled the first overtime coin toss because the coin had not flipped, much to the dismay of the Packers. The Cardinals won the second toss and needed just three plays to win the game 26-20 and move on to the NFC Championship Game.
NFL spokesman Michael Signora commented on the void toss Sunday, per Kevin Seifert and Jason Wilde of ESPN.
