The cell phone video posted on YouTube has nearly 2 million views, but Chuck Miller has never watched it start to finish.
He can get to the point where race car driver Kevin Ward Jr., who is visibly upset as he walks briskly on the dimly lit dirt oval of Canandaigua Motorsports Park, is struck by a 1,400-pound sprint car driven by Tony Stewart.
"Tony Stewart just hit that guy, Allen, Tony Stewart just hit that guy," the voice on the raw video says in disbelief.
"I knew there was video out there, but I never watched it beyond the point of impact," said Miller, who was there that night serving in his role as president of the Empire Super Sprints organization.
