For a moment, Austin Dillon was the center of racing attention — and not in a good way.
Why? His car was airborne, flying into the catch fence at Daytona and out of control. When it was over, when the mangled hulk of his car and the thousands of other pieces came to rest, Dillon was lucky to be alive.
