On the day after the MLB All-Star Game, there will be exactly no games played in any of the four major American sports leagues. For some, it’s a frustrating day. For others, it is a welcome respite.
In fact, until NFL training camps open, baseball — you know, America’s pastime? — will rule the roost. The Olympics? Well, sure, every four years the summer version comes around, but the most compelling question surrounding this year’s Games is which is dirtier: the water in Rio or the Russian athletes?
Still, there are a group of far less publicized athletes; those who perform on the smallest of stages: summer camp.
