There's a case to be made that trading down in Round 1 of the 2025 NFL draft is the best move for the San Francisco 49ers. They swung the opposite way with a radical trade up in a two-round mock draft penned by Fantasy Life's Thor Nystrom.
Instead of letting the draft fall to them in Nystrom's mock, the 49ers leap up to No. 5 overall in a trade with the Jacksonville Jaguars. San Francisco sends the No. 11 and No. 43 picks to the Jags in exchange for the No. 5 and No.
