San Francisco 49ers head coach Kyle Shanahan addressed running back Christian McCaffrey's bilateral Achilles tendonitis for the first time, following comments made by general manager John Lynch.
"There was a time he's had it in both," Shanahan said according The Athletic's Matt Barrows. "I think it started in one. (He) overcompensated, it went to the other. But mainly one of them has been bothering him, but he's had it in both."
McCaffrey has been sidelined all of the 2024 season thus far and recently traveled to Germany for extended treatment.
