The San Francisco 49ers appear to have avoided the worst-case scenario with running back Jordan Mason.
Adam Schefter of ESPN reported that Mason "is believed to have suffered a sprained AC joint" during the 49ers 36-24 victory over the Seattle Seahawks on Thursday. Schefter reported that the injury "is not considered serious" but that Mason will undergo additional testing.
Mason left the game in the second quarter, although he did return to the sideline in the second half. He finished the day with nine carries for 73 yards.
