It seems nigh impossible the San Francisco 49ers would add to their list of offseason losses by trading away wide receiver Brandon Aiyuk.
We detailed a handful of those reasons, but the bottom line is a deal would be costly for San Francisco and it would not likely fetch proper value for a 2023 Second-Team All-Pro. That still hasn't stopped the 49ers from taking calls on Aiyuk.
According to a report from Fox Sports' Jordan Schultz, the 49ers have had communication with "several teams" about dealing their star WR.
It's unclear how far any communication got on an Aiyuk trade.
