Jarryd Hayne has held on to his position with the 49ers, and the team expects to capitalize on that in 2016.
San Francisco has openly praised the National Rugby League convert's work ethic and is optimistic about the Australian running back's future with the franchise.
"I think you'll see a jump from him,'' executive vice president of football operations Paraag Marathe said, via the San Jose Mercury News . "You look at elite athletes and those guys who have that willpower and desire to succeed and there's something special in them."

Marathe, who also oversees the team's football analytics department, points out the drastic adjustments and improvements Hayne has made since his arrival in San Francisco.
