The NBA season came to a close Monday night with the Golden State Warriors hammering the Cleveland Cavaliers in Oakland.
The Dubs dispatched the Cavs in just five games, securing their second NBA championship in three years. Golden State newcomer Kevin Durant earned the first title of his career and took home the Finals MVP to boot.
It was an emotional victory for the Warriors, who blew a 3-1 lead to Cleveland in last year's Finals beforing landing Durant in free agency during the summer. This summer, they return to basketball's summit.
Golden State has had an historic three year run.
