Three people have been charged in connection with a scheme to sell memorabilia with a forged signature for former Philadelphia Eagles center Jason Kelce, according to Ben Burrows of Cllct.
Robert Capone, LeeAnn Branco and Joseph Parenti are facing 60 felony counts after Montgomery County, Pennsylvania, District Attorney Kevin R. Steele alleged they signed Kelce's name on 1,138 pieces. Their combined value was estimated at $200,000.
Branco, who's an independent contractor for Beckett Authentication Services, is alleged to have authenticated the fraudulent items, per Burrows.
Steele said the three defendants "conspired to use Branco's BAS credentials to falsely authenticate items" at an event at Valley Forge Casino Hotel in King of Prussia, Pennsylvania, per Burrows.
