2016 Outlook: Ricky Rubio

Related Topics: Ricky Rubio

Ricky Rubio hasn't improved his standing much since making his NBA debut back in 2011-12, and 2015-16 was just another solid, unspectacular year for the Spaniard. He appeared in 76 games and racked up impressive steal (2.1 per game) and assist (8.7 per game) totals, but didn't do much else, averaging 10.1 points and shooting just 37.4 percent from the field. Rubio's shooting struggles limit just how much upside he can have, and it's hard to see him improving much after five years in the league. Of course, even the baseline for him is pretty high, thanks to his passing and defense, but with highly-touted rookie Kris Dunn pushing him, it wouldn't be a surprise to see Rubio lose minutes or even wind up traded this season.
