2015 U.S. Open Live Blog: Day 4

Bob and Mike Bryan, a doubles juggernaut for over a decade, crashed out of the U.S. Open in the first round Wednesday night, falling 7-6 (4), 5-7, 6-3 to the American pair of Sam Querrey and Steve Johnson.

The Bryans, five-time champions in Flushing Meadows, won their 100th career title at the Open last year. But this year, they fell at the first hurdle. The loss came in what has been a disappointing year for the 37-year-old brothers, especially at the Grand Slam level, as they failed to win a Grand Slam title together for the first time since 2004 (Mike won mixed doubles at the French Open with Bethanie Mattek-Sands).
