There have been many examples over the last few years of coaches with pretty good recent records getting an inexplicable axe from their teams — George Karl in Denver, Mark Jackson in Golden State, Lionel Hollins in Memphis, Kevin McHale in Houston, Mike Malone in Sacramento.
