Former University of Toledo quarterback Logan Woodside had carved out a role for himself that was ripe with opportunity.
As the starting quarterback for the San Antonio Commanders of the Alliance of American Football, he was given the chance to further his development as a young quarterback after brief stints with two NFL teams.
However, early this April, Woodside’s opportunity came to an abrupt halt when the AAF shut down operations eight weeks into its inaugural season.
Many players, like Woodside, were all of the sudden out of a job.
“It was definitely a good experience for me, and I met a lot of good people there,” Woodside said.
